The Exxon Valdez mess was over 20 years ago.

Exxon isn't the only oil company that has accepted that global climate change is real, and is, in part, at least, caused by human activity:

http://www.triplepundit.com/2012/01/oil-companies-actually-planning-climate-change/

I don't think I have ever even hinted that doubters of global warming have a death wish for our planet, nor, so far as I know, has the idea even occurred to me until I read your comment. Some doubters are reluctant to do anything that might lead to more government control.

Some doubters are just plain ignorant, unfortunately. See Michele Bachman's speech: http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2009/04/24/172739/bachmann-harmless-co2/

That was like saying that water is natural so you can't drown in it.

Thanks for your comment.Martin LaBarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14629053725732957599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9661811.post-3601200137037146332012-10-18T08:05:10.192-04:002012-10-18T08:05:10.192-04:00And to be clear … Exxon in particular has had to d...And to be clear … Exxon in particular has had to do a lot of bending after the Valdez incident.

There's no doubt that we should do our best for cleaner air and stewardship of our environment.

I just think that most that think doubters of manmade global warming also have a death wish for our planet and that just isn't so.FYThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15709596700848616677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9661811.post-80042860618186238612012-10-17T05:38:55.925-04:002012-10-17T05:38:55.925-04:00See this Exxon Mobil web page:

A change in climate causes not just a rise in temperature, but changes in precipitation patterns. The Southern Ice Cap increase appears to be a result of that. Other changes in precipitation pattern (which won't all be increases, of course) are expected to have more direct effects on agriculture and other human activity, most of them negative. There will be ecosystem effects, too.

Thanks for your comment, atlibertytosay.Martin LaBarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14629053725732957599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9661811.post-16396452486982875942012-10-16T13:33:52.970-04:002012-10-16T13:33:52.970-04:00But, is it becoming dangerously warmer due to a ca...But, is it becoming dangerously warmer due to a cause of mankind?

I'd question the dramatic "dangerously" too.

There seems to be a lot of factors that are contributing to a slight warming.

The southern ice caps are actually expanding.

No conspiracies … many globalist socialists like Maurice Strong admit that global warming is a tool of control. We can see it in our own weather patterns, and scientists have shown us that the polar ice is shrinking. How much of it is due to man's influence and how much to normal warming and cooling rhythms I don't know. I think we, humans, should do what we can to lessen any impact we might have, and find ways to adapt to the coming and present changes.

God cares about His creation. His word says "I will destroy those who destroy the earth." Rev. 11:18.FancyHorsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17597963447367752342noreply@blogger.com
