ReplyDeleteIf you're interested in things like that, you might enjoy Kalugin's book. Though that book should carry an equivalent of a strong "R" rating on its cover, possibly even NC-17. The assassinations were few and far between. The blackmail material was particularly disturbing reading. Too often the KGB didn't have to do anything to turn a U.S. agent to their side other than find out how they had already brought about their own downfall, but hadn't been caught yet ...
Take care & God bless

Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIn other words, catching them in their own sin. Too bad, but not exactly a surprise.
